Herbert Ramsey has been a member of the Southside Virginia community since he was born.  A native of the Clarksville, VA area, Herbert got into construction while he was still a farmer.  From the time he purchased his first bulldozer, Herbert was helping neighbors and friends with whatever construction job was needed.

Ramsey Construction has grown from those simple beginnings to a much larger business today, but has managed to maintain its hometown perspective, and still focuses on neighbor-helping-neighbor approach to business.  "There really hasn't been a limit to what job we'll do.  I like helping people and if someone calls me, I'm going to be there to help them if I can".
